In Ohio, can your employer make your drive your personal vehicle for work purposes?
My husband works as a mechanic and his boss always tells him that he has to take his car to go pick up other cars. Among wear and tear, we haven’t been getting paid for gas mileage, he has wrecked a car driving for work, and his boss still insists that he does. I told my husband to refuse to drive, but he is worried he will get fired. Is it legal to force an employee drive their car for work purposes in Ohio?

Answer: No employer can make anyone do this for free plus the liability will be an issue if he has an accident while on company time, I would never recommend that anyone do this.

I just purchased a new car and the dealer told me that the state of Ohio charges $ 250 for a documentation fee. They said just a month ago it was $ 100. Is this fee real and are dealers assessed for all of the cars they sell by Ohio?
